A little Q&A with Salisbury Senior Jessica Nguyen What is your full name? Jessica Nguyen What are your hobbies? I don’t particularly have any hobbies, but I do want to learn how to embroider and sew my own clothes. :) How would your friends describe you? My friends would describe me as kind hearted, fun, energetic, hard working, friendly and spunky. What is your favorite subject? Anatomy was my favorite subject because I really enjoyed the concepts and the dissections. Who is your favorite teacher and why? My favorite teacher is Mrs. Wilson because she helps me out when I need it. I also enjoy her classes and the stories she tells. Not only that, but she is a very kind person and I love her energy. What is your favorite Salisbury memory? My favorite Salisbury memory was joining crew. I was able to make many new friends, and experience many new things while helping out with the plays/musicals. What is your favorite movie? My favorite movie is Big Hero 6 because I LOVE Baymax. Who is your role model and why? My role model is my mom because she is a hardworking woman, who did her best to raise us well. But she is also very energetic and still has a youthful aura around her, even as she ages, so I aspire to maintain my child-like energy just like her. What’s next after graduation? After graduation, I plan to major in Biology at Temple University. #yoursalisbury

I enjoy dancing, which I have been doing for 15 years at the Muhlenberg Community Dance Center, reading, playing with my dog, and writing for the Salisbury Press. Do you have any pets? I have one mini Goldendoodle named Cheddar. How would your friends describe you? My friends would describe me as friendly and empathetic. What is your favorite subject? My favorite subject is English. I love the opportunity to analyze literary works and write essays. Who is your favorite teacher and why? My favorite teacher is Ms. Infantino. I love the way she teaches our AP literature class, trying to get us to think on a deeper level about a text and to understand the meaning behind the symbolism within a literary work. What is your favorite Salisbury memory? My favorite Salisbury memory was just getting to spend lunches laughing with my friends. What is your favorite movie? My favorite movie is You’ve Got Mail. Are you involved in any community service projects? I volunteer at my church as a Sunday school teacher, scripture reader, and assistant minister. I also had the opportunity to help build disability access in the rural town of Starks, Maine with my church’s Project Help mission team. Who is your role model and why? My role model would be my grandmother. She was kind to everyone she met and was deeply rooted in her faith. I aspire to be like her. What’s next after graduation? After graduation I am planning on attending a 4 year college, although I have not officially chosen one yet. I plan to study English with a concentration in creative writing. #yoursalisbury

A little Q&A with Salisbury Senior Jenna Sartorius What is your full name? Jenna Sartorius What are your hobbies? I like playing sports such as soccer, golf and basketball. I also like designing clothing and drawing. Do you have any pets? I have a pet bunny and her name is Missy. How would your friends describe you? My friends would probably say I’m funny, outgoing and nice. What is your favorite subject? English, because I enjoy reading and I’m good at writing. Who is your favorite teacher and why? Mrs Borthwick because I’ve had her for different classes throughout high school. She’s really nice and a good teacher. I also have Environmental Club with her so I spend a lot of time in her classroom. What is your favorite Salisbury memory? My senior year soccer season because of the girls on the team and the memories that we all made together. The team was successful and a lot of fun. What is your favorite movie? My favorite movies are from Harry Potter, I love the entire series. Who is your role model and why? My brother because he has helped me through high school and he is very successful with his job and where he is at in life right now. What’s next after graduation? I plan on attending college. I’m still undecided, but leaning towards Temple University. I plan on majoring in business and communications. I’ll miss Salisbury a lot and all the amazing memories made the past 4 years. My favorite Salisbury memory is every basketball game that I got to play alongside my friends and in front of my family and classmates. What is your movie? My favorite movie is Hoosiers. Are you involved in any community service projects? I enjoyed volunteering with the basketball team at the soup kitchen, Special Olympics and clothing drive. Who is your role model and why? Last week I had a chance to snag some leafy vegetables from the tower garden started by Mrs. Wied’s class at WSE. Here is a pic of the greens! I know the students and Mrs. Wied are happy to know the garden is in the capable hands of Mrs. Findlay.

Some great pictures of Selah from Mrs. Wied's class at WSE! We see that Selah has been keeping very busy at home. Not only has she been doing school work, but also cooking and playing outside. Most importantly, Selah is keeping herself safe and healthy! Great job, Selah!
