Each weeknight, I will be sharing a video of a HST staff member reading a book aloud. We hope that this can be part of your daily routine as we provide resources for our students and their families at home. The first video is a funny one that my sons find hilarious . Here is the link:

The Pennsylvania Department of Education announced the cancellation of PSSA and Keystone exams.

A little Q&A with Salisbury Senior Josh Negron
What is your full name?
Joshua Negron
What is your spring sport?
Baseball What are your hobbies?
Baseball, basketball and video games.
Do you have a pet?
I have a dog named Lucy.
How would your friends describe you?
My friends would describe me as funny, caring, athletic. What is your favorite subject?
Other than gym and lunch, my favorite subject would probably be English.
Who is your favorite teacher and why?
My favorite high school teacher is Mr. Frick. He has been so helpful with guiding me through high school and helping with my plans after high school. Being able to have him my freshman year and now in my senior year is such a crazy thing to think about because it really shows how fast the time has gone. I also want to shout out to Mr. Hilaire, who was not only my favorite middle school teacher but was a great coach and all around great guy. He always knew how to get people to laugh and it will always be appreciated.
What is your favorite sports memory?
My sophomore year of baseball when our JV team beat our rival Southern Lehigh for the first time in years.
What is your favorite sports movie? My personal favorite sports movie is The Longest Yard with Adam Sandler. I used to watch that movie almost every night growing up. I am a huge fan of sports movies so there’s many more that I enjoy like Dodgeball, The Sandlot, and Space Jam to name a few.
Who is your role model and why?
My role models are my parents. They do so much for me that I will forever cherish. I want to grow up and be a great parent like them.
What’s next after graduation?
I am going to major in communications, but I’m still undecided on where I want to go at the moment. As I prepare for the final stretch of high school and hopefully get to experience the final few months of senior year getting to do all the fun senior activities and getting to graduate and receive my diploma, I want to say thank you to Salisbury as a whole for the last seven years of my life. As I prepare for the future, I will always look back on all the great things that happened in the past.
