A little Q&A with Salisbury Senior Jenny Phan
What is your full name?
Jenny Phan
What are your hobbies?
I love to listen to music, always listening to it and it ranges from so many genres. I also love to be with my friends, family, and I also enjoy painting.
Do you have any pets?
I actually just got a little 8-week old Shih-Poo and named him Louie! I begged all my life for one. He will be spoiled like a king.
How would your friends describe you?
Kind, genuine, empathetic, and definitely sassy
What is your favorite subject?
Probably anatomy, I really enjoyed the content that I learned and of course, Mrs. Wilson.
Who is your favorite teacher and why?
It’s very difficult to choose. I would say Mrs. Wilson and Miss DosSantos, they both are full of such spunky and genuine auras. They both wish the best for their students. They both watched me grow from a shy freshman to the young woman I am today, and helped me along the way. There is never a time that I’m with them and don’t smile.
What is your favorite Salisbury memory?
There are a lot, but I would say my favorite was rushing the field after the Notre Dame game. We were on the edge of our seats the whole time and it really showed how attached I am to Salisbury and everyone apart of it. I never wanted that moment to end, it made me proud to be a part of the student body for the past 13 years of my life.
What is your favorite movie?
Probably any Disney movie or some 90’s-00’s Rom-Com.
Are you involved in any community service projects?
I participate in Key Club which allows me to reach out to the community and give an extra hand. I enjoyed doing PTO nights and hanging out with little kids.
Who is your role model and why?
My parents and sister, they are always there for me no matter what happens. They are all so hardworking and made me the person that I am today. They encourage me to be my true and best self each and every day. Their love is forever unconditional and I am grateful.
What’s next after graduation?
I will be attending Temple University at the College of Public Health and minoring Psychology in hopes to become an occupational therapist or a physical therapist for now.

Friday Night Lights
On Friday, April 17, 2020, Salisbury High School and many other PIAA District XI schools will be recognizing the Class of 2020 and supporting health care workers on the front line of COVID-19 by lighting up our stadium from 7 to 9 p.m. Several schools in Texas have initiated this and the time frame is in conjunction with the National “Porch Light Campaign.”
Scoreboards will display the score as 20-20 in honor of this year’s graduating class, while 4th Down and 19 yards to go will show as the down and distance signifying COVID-19 is on its final down.
We will livestream the event on the Salisbury Township School District Facebook page. Please note that residents are NOT permitted on school district property during this event and should remain at home.
We encourage everyone to use noisemakers or rally towels/poms etc., take a selfie picture or video and share as a comment on the District’s Facebook page. Please add #yoursalisbury, #PIAATogether and @PIAADistrictXI to all your comments and posts.
Again, we cannot stress this enough, supporters of this initiative will NOT be permitted on school district property. Please stay safe, stay well, stay home and please continue practicing social distancing.
