A little Q&A with Salisbury Senior Paige Gibbons
What is your full name?
Paige Gibbons
What are your hobbies?
My favorite hobby is to play tennis, which I do year round. I also enjoy working out, hanging out with my friends, and traveling. Over the past year, I have also been into French cooking by using my Julia Child’s cookbook.
If you have pets, list what kind and names.
I have one dog, a Yorkie-Bichon mix, named Barklee.
How would your friends describe you?
My friends would describe me as thoughtful, independent, reliable, and ambitious.
What is your favorite subject?
My favorite subject is Anatomy & Physiology because I enjoy learning about the parts and functions of the human body. This class catalyzed my interest in the health field through incorporating scientific dissections and intriguing class discussions.
Who is your favorite teacher?
Picking a favorite teacher is not an easy decision for me. Mrs. Wilson has always encouraged me to be diligent and study hard, Mrs. Kennedy has never failed to make me laugh and ease my day, and Mr. Frick is always there for me whenever I need it.
What is your favorite movie?
My all-time favorite movie is Breakfast At Tiffany’s. I love everything about this movie from the lead actress, Audrey Hepburn, to the setting/plot to the soundtrack and the clothing.
Are you involved in any community service projects?
One of my biggest achievements throughout high school was volunteering over 120 hours at St. Luke’s University Hospital. There, I would assist nurses in accommodating the needs of patients and run supplies to different floors of the hospital. I also had the opportunity to volunteer and observe on the surgical floor.
Who is your role model and why?
My role model is my Popop. I always look up to him because of his kindness and positivity.
What’s next after graduation?
I will be attending the School of Nursing at the University of Pennsylvania in the fall to achieve a BSN with a possible minor in Health Services Management. I hope to either be a pediatric oncology nurse or work in the business side of the medical field.
