Catching up with Salisbury graduate Paige Donmoyer
What is your full name?
Paige Donmoyer
When did you graduate from Salisbury?
2013
Tell us about your life since high school.
After graduating I attended Kutztown University where I graduated with a B.S. in Leisure and Sports Studies in 2017. In August of 2017 I decided to go back to school and get my Masters in Elementary Education. I graduated in January of 2020 and am now teaching kindergarten.
What are you most proud of personally and/or professionally?
I am most proud of getting through my masters program and graduating in 2½ years.
How has the pandemic impacted you and what have you learned from it?
Due to the pandemic my graduation was postponed to August 2020, where we were able to attend in person. It was outside and they allowed my family to stand in front of me while I received my degree, which was an amazing experience. Also, because of the pandemic my first year teaching has been completely virtual up to this point. I have learned to take time for myself and to focus on what’s ahead of me, than what has already happened.
What was your favorite high school memory?
My favorite high school memory is from being on the swim team. There are so many memories with the team. One of my favorite memories would be our team Pasta Parties. The swim team parents always made the best pasta and it was always fun to sit around the table with the team.
How is your family doing?
My family is doing well! My sister (Erin) graduated from West Chester University in May. My mom and dad are both doing well!
If you could meet anyone (alive or dead), who would you choose and why?
Audrey Hepburn, I love the movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s, she also helped those in need.
Who is your role model and why?
I have two role models and they would be both my mom and dad. My parents have been my role models since I was little. They both work really hard for what they have and want. They have taught me to work hard and to reach my goals.
