Due to many students not selecting courses for the 2021 - 2022 academic year, the School Counseling Office has reopened the course selection form via the Sapphire Community Portal until TOMORROW, MARCH 5, 2021. We are requesting your assistance in ensuring your student selects the courses they would like to take for next year. An email has been sent to students earlier today with directions on how to complete this process. Please note, this will be the final opportunity for your student to choose courses for the 2021 - 2022 academic year. Failure to do so, will result in courses being chosen for them. For course selection information, please click https://www.salisburysd.org/o/salisbury/page/program-of-studies-course-offerings. If you should have any questions, please contact your student's school counselor.
March is National Athletic Trainers Month. For this year’s National Athletic Training Month, we want to give back to the community – in the form of a clothing drive: Donate “AT”-shirt for National AT Month!
Please help us support our athletic trainers by donating gently used t-shirts. Our ATs will be bringing them to VIA Thrift Store, whose proceeds directly benefit VIA of the Lehigh Valley, an organization dedicated to helping adults and children with disabilities reach their full potential.
The collection box at SHS is against the wall adjacent from the athletic office.
At SMS, the collection box is in the vestibule of the main entrance. Please place bagged t-shirts in these bins.
Collection will end March 19th.
We encourage you to read more about athletic trainers at the drop off locations and here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1KcGUtKh9yAdPP4NMd9DfAkQQfWtzktRZpYBb0RxKeYs/edit?usp=sharing
Thank you for supporting your athletic trainers and your community!

Catching up with Salisbury graduate Angela DelGrosso
What is your full name?
Angela DelGrosso
When did you graduate from Salisbury?
2010
Tell us about your life since high school.
After high school I went to Moravian College and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Management and Marketing in 2014. Immediately after graduation, I started my career at The Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce. My first job was with the Business and Diversity Councils working with Young Professionals, Hispanic, African American, LGBTQ, and Women’s Business Councils. After five years in that department, I accepted a new position as the Senior Vice President of Bethlehem Initiatives for The Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce. I have been in that role for two years now and love what I do!
In 2020 I opened an urban plant shop, Steel City Plant Co. We officially open our brick and mortar location, Plants + Vintage, in conjunction with Domaci Flea on March 5. We are located on Main Street in Bethlehem in the upstairs of the Woolworth Building.
I also serve on various community boards and committees throughout the Lehigh Valley, including being President Elect of the Moravian College Alumni Association and board member of the Boys & Girls Club of Bethlehem. I stay active on various committees supporting racial justice, community and economic development, and equity and inclusion.
I now live on Southside Bethlehem in an apartment I share with my boyfriend Zach and our two cats Aaron Samuels & Stevie Nicks.
What are you most proud of personally and/or professionally?
I am most proud of starting and opening a new business during a pandemic. It’s been a lot of tireless work, but so worth it!
How has the pandemic impacted you and what have you learned from it?
I am very fortunate to say my family and I have kept our health (and our jobs) and my heart goes out to the thousands in the Lehigh Valley who can’t say the same. With my job at The Chamber, we worked around the clock to support the business community with various grant programs, safe virtual events and marketing initiatives to keep everyone afloat. It made us think outside the box and work in a way we’ve never done before. It was an incredible growing experience professionally.
Personally, I’ve learned how to slow down, appreciate life more, and celebrate the little things.
What was your favorite high school memory?
There are so many! I’d say my favorite high school memory is cheering under the lights at Friday night football games then walking back to my parents house with my friends for a bonfire and pizza.
How is your family doing?
My mom and dad are doing well! They have been very involved in helping me open my business from potting plants, getting the shop organized and more. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without them. They are still in the area and we’re still all very close.
If you could meet anyone (alive or dead), who would you choose and why?
RBG! Ruth Bader Ginsburg helped pave the way for women in America and her accomplishments have always been a huge inspiration to me.
Who is your role model and why?
My mom! As a woman, I’m so fortunate to have such a strong mother to look up to. She is the epitome of kindness and strength. She also inspired my love of plants from a very young age which brought me to where I am right now.
