A little Q&A with Salisbury Senior Nevaeh Robinson What is your full name? Nevaeh Robinson What are your hobbies? Between school, work and family, I have limited space for entertainment and personal time. However, I enjoy singing around the house and photography. Music and taking pictures are both passions and hobbies of mine. I enjoy long drives and singing in the car with my boyfriend and conversations with my family. Any free time I get goes to enjoying life and everyone around me. If you have pets, list what kind and names. I have a pitbull, her name is Meeka. How would your friends describe you? My friends would most likely describe me as “the mom” of the group. Always compassionate and organized, but ready for a good time. I am always prepared with the tide-to-go or the napkins in the car. I would probably be described as sincere and uplifting. What is your favorite subject? I love many subjects, but my favorites are within the social sciences. I could not choose one, but I currently find Sociology to be the most interesting. The social sciences department within high school initiated my interest in the field of Sociology within my future. Who is your favorite teacher? Although I appreciate and have learned so much from many teachers, Mrs. Schneider has been a crucial part of my learning experience as well as my individual growth. She is a support both in and out of the classroom. What is your favorite movie? There are too many movies to choose from, but I love the Step Up series. My mom and I could watch each movie on repeat throughout my childhood. I now enjoy watching the series with my boyfriend and siblings. Highly recommended!! Are you involved in any community service projects? I am currently and have previously been involved in numerous service projects. Throughout my education, I have enjoyed participating in clubs/activities such as Key Club and Stars who partake in local volunteering opportunities such as Special Olympics and food bagging for the homeless. In addition, I (along with a peer) created our community outreach club (G.I.V.E.) within Salisbury High School. G.I.V.E. (Get Involved, Value Everyone) is a space where volunteering and participating in outreach is our main goal. We run 3 annual drives for Third Street Alliance, New Bethany Ministries, and Valley Youth House. All of the donations go directly to the church/nonprofit and our club members get a hands on experience with volunteering and outreach work. In addition to clubs and organizations within school, I have volunteered for Camelot for Children. A year round program for children with disabilities. The “campers” get an individualized experience within the camp as volunteers treat them as any other human. The children get a sense of belonging and excitement from attending the camp. Who is your role model and why? I look up to so many people within my life, but my parents are definitely my biggest role models. My mom and dad are not only the most hard working people I know, but they exude love and positivity throughout everyday. They both taught me important lessons involving basic respect, future goals, and getting through struggles. “You can never achieve your goals and aspirations, if you never try.” - Mom and Dad What’s next after graduation? I plan on attending Temple University for my Bachelor’s Degree. I will be double majoring in Organizational/Developmental Business Management and Sociology. I hope to positively impact as many people as possible throughout my college career and later in life as well. #yoursalisbury

I think my friends would describe me as caring, determined, (sometimes) funny, and (usually) the responsible one. What is your favorite subject? My favorite subject is science. I am a very curious person and always want to learn more about how the world around me works, so learning in the sciences helps fulfill that want. Who is your favorite teacher? My favorite teacher is Mr. Barna. His classes have taught me to see history as a story, and his commentary both in class and in debate never fails to make me laugh.
