Catching up with Salisbury graduate Kimberly Ringhoffer What is your full name? Kimberly Lynn Ringhoffer When did you graduate from Salisbury? I graduated in the class of 2012. Tell us about your life since high school. After high school, I obtained my Bachelor’s degree from Lehigh University. After landing an awesome internship with Renee Patrone, CEO of Events by Renee and Party Host Helpers, I realized I had found my true career passion. In 2018, I moved to Old City Philadelphia and began my dream job at Event Strategy Group. Three and a half years later, I’m now a senior event manager & I haven’t looked back since. I plan corporate events for clients around the world and I have the opportunity to travel quite regularly for work. A few of my favorites so far have been an incentive-based event in Montego Bay, Jamaica and a sponsorship at the US Open in Pebble Beach, California. What are you most proud of personally and/or professionally? For those that are close to me, you know very well that I have trouble sitting still! I caught the travel bug during my early years of college and haven’t stopped since. I have been to 18 countries so far and counting. I’m extremely passionate about experiencing new places, cuisines, and experiences. One of the highlights was spending the summer of 2017 backpacking across Europe. I have been itching to go back ever since for another taste of gelato in Italy or paella in Spain! How has the pandemic impacted you and what have you learned from it? Since the pandemic, I began working remotely which led to my move to St. Augustine, Florida. For the first time in my life, I lived outside of PA I was able to experience a new and beautiful lifestyle in the Florida sunshine! Although this is my new “home base”, my significant other and I have now taken our lives on the road and become full time “digital nomads”. We have been driving across the country, living in a new place each month. We’ve stayed anywhere from Airbnbs to hotels to a school bus! This has opened my eyes to different parts of the world more than anything else ever has. I’ve learned tons & tons of history. We’re 5 months in so far with no end in sight! What was your favorite high school memory? Cheerleading under the Friday Night Lights at the high school football games with girls that I still consider my best friends to this date. How is your family doing? They are doing very well! My parents are happily enjoying retirement, but you can catch them at Coca Cola Park over the summer as they are now both ushers for home Iron Pigs Games. I’m fortunate to have such a great relationship with both of my parents. My extended family all lives in or near the Lehigh Valley, so when I am in the area, we spend lots of time together and these are some of my favorite times. If you could meet anyone (alive or dead), who would you choose and why? My grandfather (mom’s dad). I didn’t have the chance to meet him, but from the stories I hear, he seemed to be a pretty amazing guy. Who is your role model and why? My role models are my two wonderful grandmothers. I am blessed to have both of them in my life. One is 93 and the other 92! I have endless memories with the two of them growing up, with many lessons learned & morals instilled. My mom’s mom is extremely loving and (still) always up for an adventure. We have so many traditions together and from her I learned the value of putting family first. My dad’s mom is one of the sweetest ladies you’ll ever meet. From her, I witnessed the most beautiful example of true love in her marriage to my Pop-Pop, and she taught me how to make the BEST chocolate cake! #yoursalisbury
