Community Update

Hello Salisbury!

Last evening, the Board approved a recommendation to start the year in the fully remote model for all students, through the first marking period.

This was an extremely difficult decision for us as a leadership team and School Board. We understand this decision will be difficult for some families. We believe the fully online/remote option affords us the opportunity to provide the most consistent learning environment for our learners, especially with the enhancements we shared during the discussion.

Access the presentation with the rationale and the Fully Remote/Online Learning FAQ to learn about the structure of online learning and how it will be different from this past spring.  In the presentation, you will also see guidance documents from PDE and DOH that impacted the decision to move fully remote.

Please take a moment to review the additional updates below. We thank you for your continued patience as we are working to provide additional information.

Technology/Materials distribution: Detailed information will be coming from building principals soon. At this time, we anticipate device/materials pick up will be Wednesday, September 2 and Thursday, September 3.  Teachers/staff will need time to collate materials (textbooks, math manipulatives, etc.) for learners.
