Catching up with Salisbury graduate Emily Batman

What is your full name?

Emily Batman

When did you graduate from Salisbury?

2016

What have you been doing since high school?

I went to LCCC for two years and played softball and we went to Minnesota for the national championship for the first time in LCCC history, then I transferred to Kutztown University.

Congratulations on graduating from Kutztown earlier this month! What will you do next?

I will be working at the Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays once they are allowed to open back up.

What are your summer plans?

I’m supposed to be going to Disney World in July but who knows if that will happen!

What have you learned through this pandemic?

I’ve learned not to take anything for granted. Just simple things like going out to restaurants or hanging out with friends seemed like something that we could always do whenever we wanted, and now we can’t.

What was your favorite high school memory?

My favorite memories were anything related to sports. I never thought I’d miss playing sports as much as I do.

What is your favorite movie or TV show and why?

I love the movie Bohemian Rhapsody because it’s a good movie and because I would always listen to 95.1 in the car with my dad and they played Queen songs.

How is your younger sister Carly doing?

She is doing well. She’s going to LCCC and pursuing a business administration degree.

If you could meet anyone (alive or dead), who would you choose and why?

I’d love to meet Rachel Cruze, she’s written multiple books and has a podcast about finance, and I find finances very interesting.

Who is your role model and why?

I would say my parents. No matter what happens they always have my back and I’ve always looked up to both of them.
