What is your full name?

Cole Warmkessel

When did you graduate from Salisbury?

2018

I know you joined the United States Coast Guard right after high school, tell us about your experiences so far.

I am currently at Coast Guard station Cape Charles, in Cape Charles,VA. Our station's main mission is search and rescue. While being at the station, I have been a part of many community events, and conducted operations in order to keep people safe out on the water. At the end of the day, it is very rewarding, knowing that you are on the call to save someone's life.

What made you decide to join the Coast Guard?

Ever since I was little, I loved always being on the water, whether it was going to the beach for family vacations, or going fishing with my Dad and brother.

How long do you think you will stay in the Coast Guard and if you leave the Coast Guard, what would you do next?

I currently have 2 years left in the Coast Guard, and if I decide to get out, I will continue my career in law enforcement with the qualifications that I have obtained in the Coast Guard.

What are your summer plans?

During the summer, I plan to go to the beach with my family, and come home to visit whenever I can.

What was your favorite high school memory?

My best memories in high school were made playing baseball with the same guys I have played with since I was little, and it was amazing the connection we all had together and how close our team was. I was honored to be a part of something so special and something that meant so much to me, especially being able to play with my brother on the same field when I was a senior.

What is your favorite movie?

The Waterboy

Who is your role model and why?

My role models are my parents, without the love and support that they gave me over the years, I wouldn't be the person that I am today.
