Salisbury HS students Riley Nemitz, Soledad Lausch and Jonah Nemitz competed Friday 3/27 at the CLIU Academic Challenge. Salisbury placed 7th in the competition, which tested students on their knowledge of literature, science, history, mathematics and various other topics.

SHS students had the honor of hearing from Mr. John Halligan, who shared his son Ryan’s story and the heartbreaking impact bullying can have both in person and online. The Salisbury Debate playoff team finished the playoff portion of their season with a perfect 8-0 record. The team of Phoebe Ballek, Emerson Juhasz, Michael McWhorter and Soledad Lausch will now advance to the LVIDA finals, where they will face Saucon Valley. Finals will be held at Palisades High School on Tuesday, April 7th.

The Counseling Office at Salisbury High School will be hosting a Parent Information Evening re: 2026 - 2027 Course Selections on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 @ 6:30pm in the high school auditorium. All current 8th, 9th, 10th, & 11th grade parents and / or guardians are encouraged to attend this event where graduation requirements will be reviewed, the course selection process will be discussed, and academic opportunities available to SHS students will be explored, including LCTI. In addition, SHS department representatives will be present to discuss course offerings within their department and answer any questions you may have.

Students in Ms. Evener's class visited the Mobile Fab Lab at OVR to learn about girih symmetry. Students had the opportunity to create their own designs using an app. Their designs were then etched into wood with a laser cutter, circles were cut out, and they used markers to add color to their circles/magnets.
