Dual enrollment courses in conjunction with Seton Hall, Moravian University, and LCCC
Vocational / technical education and career preparedness at Lehigh Career and Technical Institute
Work / study via Diversified Career Occupations
Honors scholars classes at Lehigh University, DeSales University, Muhlenberg College, and Moravian University
LCCC’s Early College Program, which allows students to graduate from high school with an associate’s degree from LCCC
At Salisbury High School, our focus is on preparing our students for life after high school, whether this entails pursuing post-secondary education, entering the workforce, or following other interests. Our objective is to equip each student with the competencies, direction, knowledge, and motivation to succeed, no matter the path that he or she chooses. We emphasize emerging technologies, team dynamics and collaboration, and project- and problem-based learning to encourage our students to become creative and critical thinkers and problem solvers. Our multifaceted approach to education prepares Salisbury students with the skills and dispositions necessary to succeed in an ever-changing world.
Recognizing the importance of a students’ involvement in co-curricular activities as an important component of their educational experiences, we encourage our scholars to get involved. Doing so fosters collaboration, communication, and civic engagement that can benefit students for the entirety of their lives. For this reason, we provide many opportunities for our students to participate in clubs, activities, and athletics. We truly have something designed for all interests; from Model UN to Key Club to competitive sports, there’s something for everyone at SHS!
Our student support services provide a host of resources to aid students on their educational journey. Our school counselors help guide students’ educational pathways, plan for their futures, and provide individualized student support. Our social worker engages families to ensure that students’ needs are being met, and we partner with CONCERN to provide site-based counseling services. Our peer mediation program equips students with the skills required to navigate and resolve conflict in a respectful and effective manner, and our SAP team helps students and families remove barriers to a student’s academic success. As you can see, our students’ social and emotional wellness takes priority at SHS.
