DIGITAL CITIZENSHIP

Digital citizenship can be defined as "the norms of appropriate, responsible behavior with regard to technology use." At Salisbury, the teaching and learning of digital citizenship is integrated into regularly scheduled classes. Also, each grade level receives a specified number of classes a year, taught by a Library Media Specialist, that are dedicated to this subject area: five per grade level at the elementary level, five per grade level at the middle school, and two per grade level at the high school. These lessons are based on the work of Common Sense Education, and they are tailored to meet the needs of our students.
