Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Krista Spradlin
Mrs. Spradlin began her German teaching career in 2000 at Northampton High School, after studying in Germany and graduating from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Mrs. Spradlin earned her Master’s Degree from Wilkes University, while teaching German and ESL in Parkland School District. Frau Spradlin has two children and loves being with them and her husband doing anything outdoors, reading, gardening, and obviously watching the Phillies!
Frau, or Sprau, as the kids refer to her, teaches all levels of German at both SMS and SHS. She advises the SHS German Club and is grateful that the district supported her in 2014 in establishing a German-American Partnership Exchange Program. SHS will now biannually exchange students and teachers with Regiomontanus High School in Haßfurt, Germany. This exchange is a deeply enriching experience for everyone involved. Frau Spradlin invites you to click here and investigate the exchange for yourself, and to get involved!
Frau checks email frequently and encourages both parents and students to contact her whenever they have a question or concern. Frau invites you to access homework, course descriptions, and language learning resources by clicking here. Frau Spradlin is willing to help anyone needing clarification on concepts or assignments, both big and small. Please do not wait to ask for her help. Frau welcomes SHS students before school for German help, and SMS students during 9th period. Join us anytime. Bis dann!
If you need to contact Frau Spradlin you can call SHS or SMS and leave a voice message. However, because she travels between two schools it is probably best to email her and leave a phone number where she can reach you.
