  • FULL SAIL UNIVERSITY TO VISIT SHS

      A representative from Full Sail University will visit SHS on T uesday, May 20 at 9:40 am.  Interested students should obtain a pass from the Guidance Office by Monday, May 19.

    Full Sail offers campus and online degree programs designed for the world of entertainment and media. Offering associate's, bachelor's, and master's degrees, Full Sail's approach is centered on real-world industry experience.    

     

     

      KEYSTONE TESTING

    SHS will be administering Keystone exams for selected students in grades 9-11 for 3 consecutive weeks in May.

    Testing Dates are as follows :

    Literature - May 12-13

    Algebra I – May 20-21

    Biology – May 27-28

     

    Monday, May 12, Tuesday, May 13 – 2-hr delay. Students testing will report to SHS at the regular time (7:30 am with transportation provided), and all other students will report 2-hrs later at 9:30 am. STUDENTS WHO ARE NOT TESTING SHOULD REPORT TO THEIR BUS STOPS 2 HOURS LATER THAN THEIR SCHEDULED MORNING PICK-UP TIME.

    Tuesday, May 20 (only) - 2 1/2-hr delay. Students testing will report to SHS at the regular time (7:30 am with transportation provided) and all other students will report  2 1/2-hrs later at 10:00 am. STUDENTS WHO ARE NOT TESTING SHOULD REPORT TO THEIR BUS STOPS  2 1/2 HOURS LATERTHAN THEIR SCHEDULED MORNING PICK-UP TIME.

    Wednesday, May 21 – 2-hr delay. Students testing will report to SHS at the regular time (7:30 am with transportation provided), and all other students will report 2-hrs later at 9:30 am. STUDENTS WHO ARE NOT TESTING SHOULD REPORT TO THEIR BUS STOPS 2 HOURS LATER THAN THEIR SCHEDULED MORNING PICK-UP TIME.

    Tuesday, May 27, Wednesday, May 28 - 2-hr delay. Students testing will report to SHS at the regular time (7:30 am with transportation provided), and all other students will report 2-hrs later at 9:30 am. STUDENTS WHO ARE NOT TESTING SHOULD REPORT TO THEIR BUS STOPS 2 HOURS LATER THAN THEIR SCHEDULED MORNING PICK-UP TIME.

    LCTI –  CAP and Academic students who are testing should report to SHS at 7:30 am. All other CAP and Academic Center students will depart for LCTI at their regular time. After testing, CAP and Academic students will ride the PM bus at 11:00 to LCTI.

     

     

     

     

    SENIORS

    Seniors now that you have decided where you are going after high school tell the rest of the school.  

    WHAT: Post Graduation Plans - Interactive Library Display

    WHERE: Library (Display Case in Hallway)

    WHEN: Beginning: Monday, May 5th ----Friday, June 6th

    HOW:
    Share your post graduation plans by bringing in a wallet size (or
    smaller) photograph of yourself with your plans for next year written
    on the back.

    Step By Step Instruction:
    1. Bring a wallet size (or smaller) photograph of  yourself to the library.
    2.
    Write your name and where you will be next year on the back of the
    photograph. (Name of college, place of employment or enlistment service)

    3.Give the photograph to Mrs. Burns or Mrs. Pennella to pin your place onto the map.

    4. Stop back at the library throughout the month of May to see where your classmates will be next year.

    5. Spread the word. Let's try to get as many seniors participating as possible.

    SPORTS INFORMATION

    Cheerleading Tryout packets are available in the SHS office.

     

    Cross Country sign ups will take place on Monday, May 12th during Falcon Period 10:23am-11:00am in the Cafeteria.

      Any track and field team member who ordered team photos please stop by the Athletic Office to pick up your order.
     

    SMS/SHS Girls Basketball Open Gym

    Girls basketball open gyms are canceled for this week and next week. We will announce when girls basketball open gyms will start backup.  Thanks!

     

     Salisbury Athletic Fall Physicals
    Date: May 31, 2014
    Where: Salisbury MIDDLE School
    Cost: $10. Cash or checks made payable to Salisbury Township School District will be accepted on May 31.


    BOYS                                
    8:00 a.m.  B. Soccer (JV/Varsity)      
    8:30 a.m.  Football (JH/JV/Varsity)       
    9:00 a.m.  All other boys                                         

    GIRLS
    9:15 a.m. Field Hockey (MS/JV/Varsity)
    9:45 a.m. G. Soccer (JV/Varsity)

    10:15 a.m Cheerleading (MS/JV/Varsity)
    10:45 a.m. All other girls  

    Any SMS/SHS student trying out for a fall sport, participating in twirling/marching band, or wanting to be a fall sport team manager must have a physical form dated on or after May 31, 2014.  Students in grades 6-12 may be team managers.
     
    Physical paperwork will be available beginning Wednesday, May 21 in SMS main office or the SHS main office and athletic office.
