Proper Use of Gloves

Should gloves be worn to protect you against coronavirus?

Gloves worn correctly can be helpful to prevent the spread of disease, but wearing them is no different than simply washing your hands or using hand sanitizer.

If you feel the need to wear gloves, please do the following :

  1. Wash or sanitize your hands before putting on gloves.

  2. Do not touch your face, adjust/remove your mask, or rub your eyes with your gloves on.

  3. Remove the gloves correctly by grabbing them at the wrist and turning the glove inside out. See the video below on how to remove gloves correctly.

     4. Dispose gloves in the trash and never wash or reuse disposable gloves.

     5. Be sure to wash or sanitize your hands after glove removal.

Wearing gloves in public places is not one of the CDC recommendations on how to protect yourselves and others from becoming ill. How to Protect Yourself & Others
