About our School
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to the Harry S Truman Elementary School. We are a caring community of students, parents, and staff committed to student learning and development. Our school is comprised of approximately 450 students in grades kindergarten through five. Our teachers and assistants work each day to help our students grow and learn.
Our dedicated staff continually seeks to employ best practices in learning. We are committed to the belief that all children can learn. Our instructional program includes the use of Smart Boards, laptops, and IPads as we embrace 21st Century Learning.
To support our learning process, our reading specialists and instructional support teacher provide intervention services for our students. We also support our students with ESL and special education services.
Our PTO is a vital part of the Harry S Truman family. The PTO provides volunteers to work in the classrooms and support special events. Their fund raising efforts make possible special programs and class trips.
We are proud to be a Leader in Me School. Students and staff use The Seven Habits of Highly Successful People (Stephen Covey) throughout the day.
Mr. Zachary Brem is our principal! Mr. Brem comes to Salisbury from the Allentown School District with 12 years of experience in public education – 10 as a teacher and 2 as a school leader, most recently Assistant Principal for Union Terrace Elementary School and Acting Principal for Ritter Elementary School.
We look forward to a great school year!
